I always remember seeing Sydney Opera House on TV when I was younger and thinking that I that was the one place I wanted to visit.

Australia seemed this magical far off land that I'd only get to once in my lifetime. Yet following my first visit in 2003, it's had a strong urge to bring me back time and time again.

From chilling out at Bondi Beach to climbing the famous Harbour Bridge, Sydney has something for everyone.  Climbing the bridge was a huge highlight for me and helped me overcome a fear of heights.

I've been lucky enough to see celebrations, festivals and a bit of celeb-spotting . During the first three months of the year I joined in the festivities of Australia Day, watched the Tropfest film festival and spent an afternoon in Luna Park watching celebrities arriving for the MTV Music Awards.

The are plenty of beaches, parks and harbours to grab a coffee at and just take the weight of your feet and watch the world go by.

The best time of year to visit is from December to April, which are the summer months. You'll find there are a lot of events happening around the city including the New Year's Eve party, Australia Day celebrations and Mardi Gras.

If you've never been hopefully my collection of  photos from around Sydney will inspire you to visit.
